Bomb found at Makua Military Reservation

A 250-pound bomb has been found at the Makua Military Reservation, buried below the surface of an access road.

An Army explosive ordnance team is dealing with the bomb.

It may be removed or detonated on site, the Army said.

For safety's sake, the Makua Military Reservation is closed.

Appropriate state and federal authorities have been notified.

A scheduled cultural access for this weekend is canceled.
