Aloha Airlines adds $5 fuel surcharge

Advertiser Staff

Aloha Airlines has announced that it is adding a $5 fuel surcharge on its inter-island fares to help recover fuel costs.

"The traveling public is keenly aware that fuel prices have continued to rise dramatically," said Thom Nulty, Aloha's senior vice president of marketing and sales.

"Unfortunately, with fuel now surpassing labor as our number one expense, we can no longer continue to absorb it."

Aloha's fuel surcharge went into effect yesterday for all inter-island ticket purchases.
