NBA: Wizards fall to 0-3 after 94-82 loss to Magic

Associated Press

WASHINGTON — Hedo Turkoglu scored 13 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter to help the Orlando Magic beat Washington, 94-82, tonight, sending the Wizards to their first 0-3 start since 1992.

Washington led 67-64 entering the fourth quarter but shot 5 for 25 the rest of the way.

The Wizards trailed 76-75 with just under 6 minutes left, but then went the next 3 minutes without a point. Turkoglu, meanwhile, took over on offense for Orlando, scoring nine consecutive points, capped by a 3-pointer that put the visitors ahead 86-77 with 2:45 remaining.

Rashard Lewis scored all 18 of his points in the first half for Orlando, while Dwight Howard finished 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Gilbert Arenas made his first three shots, then went 2 for 12 the rest of the way to finish with 10 points. He finished 0 for 4 on 3-pointers, part of a 6-for-23 effort by Washington on 3s.

At least Washington finally made a 3-pointer, a night after setting an NBA record by going 0 for 16 from beyond the arc in a loss to the Boston Celtics.
