No injuries after boulder crashes through Palolo home

Advertiser Staff

A boulder crashed through a Palolo home and landed on a bed this morning.

No injuries were reported, but the residents of the home were so

shaken by the incident they decided to move out today and live with relatives.

The boulder measured about 4 feet long, 2 feet wide and 3 feet deep.

"I was shocked," said Shirley Neely, who lives at the two-story home with her husband and 14-year-old daughter.

The boulder crashed through the 14-year-old's bedroom wall and landed on her bed about 9:45 a.m. Luckily, the girl got up early this morning, Neely said.

"You hear about these things happening," she said. "But you never think it's going to happen to you."
