Comic 'Road Trip' coming to ARTS at Marks

"Road Trip," a one-man improvisational comedy show that pays tribute to the "road" movies of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby from the 1940s, will be staged at 8 p.m. Dec. 1 and 8 at The ARTS at Marks Garage, 1159 Nu'uanu Ave.

Smashbox Productions and On The Spot will present the vehicle that stars Garrick Paikai improvising a full cast of characters and several musical numbers, all fueled by audience suggestions.

Pakai is the founder and leader of local improv troupe On The Spot and is a former member of Loose Screws combo. He has performing credits here, in addition to Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Tickets: $10 general, $8 students with IDs, available an hour before curtain.
