ALTRES HR

Altres HR, a local firm providing businesses with human resources administration services, has announced new hires and promotions.

LINDA LING has been appointed controller, overseeing financial operations, budgeting process and federal financial reporting.

LORI MAKIYA was named marketing manager, responsible for teaching small and mid-size businesses about the benefits of outsourcing human resources administration.

LIZ FLORES has been named manager of the payroll department.

LORI REGO has been named benefits manager, overseeing the employee benefits department.

GUY TANIOKA has been named human resources consultant.

MICHELE NAKATA has been promoted to human resources services manager.

AIR FORCE CIVILIAN ADVISORY COUNCIL

STEVE WOOD, owner of The Original Glider Rides, was recently selected as a member of the Air Force Civilian Advisory Council. He will assist in developing Air Force policy recommendations on quality of life and quality of service issues that impact Department of Air Force employees.

PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS ASSOC. OF HAWAII

CLARK "SKIP" MORGAN was recently installed as 2007-2008 president of the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association of Hawaii.

The following officers were installed: vice president, Patrick Miura, senior vice president of Heide & Cook, Ltd.; secretary, Kenneth Richardson, president of Island Controls Inc.; treasurer, Tyrus Kagawa, vice president of Oahu Plumbing and Sheetmetal Ltd.

Directors: Samuel Fujikawa, CEO of Continental Mechanical of the Pacific; Robert Hahn, district manager of Trane Pacific Service; Owen Muramatsu, president of Elite Mechanical, Inc.; Mark Suzuki, vice president of Commercial Plumbing, Inc.; and Glenn Tango, president of Honolulu Plumbing, Ltd.

The Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association of Hawaii has 33 member firms. Gregg Serikaku serves as executive director of the association.

HAWAII ALLIED MEMORIAL COUNCIL

Jerome Andrade of Borthwick Mortuary has been elected president of the Hawaii Allied Memorial Council, a council associated with the funeral and cemetery industry. Also elected were Michael Oh, vice president; Claus Hansen, secretary, Alice Hahn, treasurer, and Ruby Alvarez, Mitchell Dodo, Jay Morford, Elaine Nakamura, David Morikami, Roberta Simpkins, Pat Souza, Derwin Tsutsui and Beverly Dodo, directors.
