Kauai advises Kalaheo residents of water work

Advertiser Staff

A new 500,000-gallon water storage tank, booster pumps and connecting pipelines have been installed to meet the needs of the growing Kalaheo community. Next week, contractors for the Kaua'i County Water Department will connect the new pipeline and tank to the existing water system.

The work will take place from 9 a.m. Nov. 14 to midnight Nov. 15. While the work is being done, Kalaheo residents may experience reduced pressure and even water outages.

To keep fluctuations to a minimum, residents are asked to reduce water usage during this period. For more information, call the Water Department at 808-245-5455 during business hours.
