Amos will appear on Nov. 14 with Mrs. Vivian Aiona, wife of Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona, Jr., in reading aloud portions of Amy Tan's best-selling novel "Joy Luck Club." Amos replaces Byrde Cestare, Executive Director, Friends of the Library of Hawaii.

This program is part of The Big Read in Hawaii, a statewide celebration of special events through December 2007, which began in September.
