Trade winds due to roll back into town today

A high pressure area building north of the state will bring a more settled weather pattern through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

An area of showers will affect the windward section of the islands today as trade winds make a return, forecasters said. A drying trend will commence Friday as drier air from the east spreads over the state.

Light to moderate trade winds and relatively dry weather are in store for the weekend.

Today, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 80 to 85. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 84. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Friday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
