UH Physics & Astronomy Dept. to hold open house

HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i at Manoa Physics & Astronomy Department invites the public to learn about their latest physics and astronomy research and applications at a free open house on Saturday, Nov. 17. The event will feature discussions and interactive activities by students and faculty.

The Open House will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a welcome and overview by Physics and Astronomy Department Chair Michael Peters in the Hawaii Institute for Geophysics Auditorium. Group visits to the various sites will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. The public is welcome to join the group visits and can also visit these sites informally from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
