Big Island police seek help in finding missing girl

Hawai'i County police are searching for a 16-year-old girl reported as missing from her Kea'au home since Aug. 28. She has been identified as Amber Mcatee.

She is described as part-Filipino, 5 feet 6, about 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information about her whereabouts to call the Police Department's nonemergency number at 808-935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 808-961-8300 in Hilo or 808-329-8181 in Kona. All CrimeStoppers information is kept confidential.
