AMA policy body convening in Hawaii for meeting

The American Medical Association's primary policy making body will convene a four-day meeting at the Hawai'i Convention Center starting tomorrow.About 3,000 people are expected for the event, which helps decide the political and legislative agenda for the AMA, which has 250,000 members and is the largest U.S. physician organization.
Among the topics that will be discussed are ensuring affordable health insurance for patients with expensive medical conditions, trends in employer-sponsored health insurance and guidelines for evaluating state proposals for health insurance reform.
The group known as the House of Delegates meets twice a year.
