Sunny days expected to hang around for the weekend

A high pressure area has settled in north of the state and is expected to result in light to moderate trade winds through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

A few showers affecting mainly windward areas are possible, forecasters said.

A drier air mass will spread across the state today as the trades strengthen, bringing relief from the recent humid weather.

Here's how the weekend looks:

Today, sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 80 to 86. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, mostly clear. Isolated showers in the evening. Lows 68 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Saturday, sunny. Highs 81 to 87. East winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 72. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Veterans Day, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 84. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Sunday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows around 69. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
