Native Hawaiian business group to meet Thursday

Puakea Nogelmeier, associate professor of Hawaiian, researcher, translator and composer, will be the featured speaker at the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce's luncheon meeting Thursday.

Noegelmeier will discuss how Awaiaulu, a foundation he founded with the late Nakila Dwayne Steele, is helping to expand bi-lingual Hawaiian knowledge resources for Hawaiian-language audiences.

Registration and networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and the program starting at noon. Cost for members is $15 and $20 for non-members. Members are encouraged to bring a guest. The location is 1451 Queen Emma Street.
