Martial Arts Festival at Blaisdell: It's a kick

The family-friendly Martial Arts Festival continues today and tomorrow at the Blaisdell Center's meeting rooms, spotlighting tae kwon do, kung fu, capoeira, jiu jitsu, wushu and more. Other attractions include video games, keiki activities, prizes, a Hong Kong Market Place and entertainment.

Among the experts/performers:

  • Chen Lei, right, from China, master in wushu

  • Dae Sung Lee of Honolulu, tae kwon do

  • Chris Onzuka of O'ahu, jiu jitsu

    Hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and tomorrow. Admission is $20 general, $10 children 7 to 13, free for keiki 6 and younger in the company of a paying adult. Information at www.themartialartsfestival.com.
