Woman, 72, critical after boy backs truck into her

A 72-year-old Waipahu woman is in critical condition in The Queen's Medical Center after an 11-year-old Waipahu boy who was reversing a pickup truck in his driveway crashed through a gate and a wall and hit her Saturday at about 6 p.m., police said.Also injured, but treated and released, was the boy's father, a 42-year-old Waipahu man who's right foot and leg were run over when the 2002 Nissan pickup truck was reversing and the father tried to stop the pickup truck, police said.
The accident occurred at 94-1211 Huakai Street, near Mahoe Street.
