North shores should see surf of 6-9 feet today

Surf along the north-facing shores is expected to reach 6 feet to 9 feet today, but by late tomorrow a northwest swell will push waves to 15 feet, close to the advisory level, according to the National Weather Service.

West-facing shores should see waves of 3 feet to 6 feet, east-facing shores will have waves of 2 feetto 4 feet and south-facing shores will have surf of 3 feet or less.

The northwest swell will slowly diminish after Wednesday, but a moderate southwest swell is expected to arrive late Thursday and last through Saturday.
