Documents all retrieved, says Shred-it attorney

An attorney for a shredding company says all the patient-related documents contained in a bag that fell off a van on the H-1 Freeway last month have been retrieved.The documents were being transported from Ko'olau Radiology in Honolulu on Oct. 18, and fell off a van onto the freeway near Waipahu. Shred-it attorney Michael Lam says all the documents were retrieved and destroyed.
Ko'olau Radiology has been advising its patients in letters sent out recently to carefully monitor their financial statements in case some of the documents were not recovered. In the letters, the medical clinic said it couldn't be sure all the documents were found.
The medical clinic was not answering phones yesterday and could not be reached for comment.
