Charges sought in Ewa BB gun shooting of man

A second-degree assault case involving a 17-year-old 'Ewa Beach boy was referred today to Family Court for charges.The boy allegedly shot a BB gun at a 45-year-old man walking on a footpath Sunday near a park in 'Ewa Beach. The incident was reported to police at 5:55 p.m.
The victim told police he saw the boy shooting the BB gun at bushes Sunday shortly before feeling a sting to his lower back. The man turned and saw the boy drop the gun and run away, police said.
Police yesterday located the suspect, who was identified in a lineup by the victim.
