Advertiser Staff

Former Kane'ohe resident and Castle High School alum Dean Wilson, who just completed a successful season on the PGA Tour, will play in this week's Prince Resorts Hawaii/TaylorMade Hawaii State Open at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club.

Wilson finished in the top-10 four times this year, helping him earn more than $1.2 million. He ranked 76th on the money list, which allowed him to keep full PGA Tour privileges for 2008.

The State Open will be held Thursday through Sunday. The total purse is $60,000 with first place worth $7,500.

Also playing in the event are Brandan Kop, Lorens Chan and Bradley Shigezawa.
