According to KITV, Lt. Andy Baldwin, who was the object of affection on last year's season of the reality show "The Bachelor," is heading to Bahrain, an island kingdom in the Persian Gulf, where the U.S. has a military base.

While he hasn't married Tessa Horst, the woman he wound up choosing on "The Bachelor," Baldwin told KITV, "Tessa and I love each other very much. We're trying to keep our private

life private now. It's on to the next bachelor, but things are good."

About his deployment, the Navy doctor, who works with the Navy SEALS, said, "We've recently been tasked to go over to the Persian Gulf and serve as a special command and control element over there."

Since appearing on "The Bachelor," Baldwin has been a fixture in the Honolulu scene, popping up at events such as the opening of Nobu Waikiki restaurant and helping out on the Honolulu episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
