A team of students, faculty and staff will compete in four events: stone-rolling (ulumaika), dart-sliding (moa pahe'e), spear-sliding (ihe pahe'e), and spear-throwing ('o'o ihe).

Cultural experts will also present a lecture on makahiki and its origins as an ancient Hawaiian time of peace and festivity.
