Private school seminar at Kapolei library today

Advertiser Staff

Local author Jacqui Pirl will give a free informational seminar at 6:30 p.m. today at the Kapolei Public Library for parents thinking about sending their children to a private school in Hawai'i.

Pirl is the author of the "The Parents' Guide to Private Schools in Hawaii."

Also at 6:30 p.m. at the library, mime and storyteller Antonio Rocha will offer up Jungle Tales, using stories and mime to give audience members a glimpse at the jungles of Brazil and Africa.

Rocha gets children to draw from their imaginations using their own bodies to create characters and express ideas.

A native of Brazil, he studied with the legendary Marcel Marceau. The program is recommended for those 5 and up.

The programs are free. The library is at 1020 Manawai St.
