North Shore pitcher Shinya Nakayama was nearly flawless in his five-inning stint as he held Waikiki without a run and surrendered one hit while striking out six to help the Honu shut out the BeachBoys, 8-0, at Hans L'Orange Park last night in Hawaii Winter Baseball.

Brad Corley hit his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot in the fifth inning, while teammate Stephen Chapman drove in a game-high three runs for North Shore.

In the early game, West Oahu starter Blake Wood had 12 strikeouts to help the CaneFires stop the Honolulu Sharks, 4-3, at Hans L'Orange Park.

Wood (2-1, 3.55 ERA), a Kansas City Royal prospect, gave up two runs on six hits in five innings.
