Boy, 14, missing on Big Island since early August

Big Island police are searching for a 14-year-old boy reported missing from his Pahoa home since Aug. 8.

He has been identified as Shelden Kawaa, who is described as 5-foot-8, about 168 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the Police Department's nonemergency number at 808-935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 808-961-8300 in Hilo or 808-329-8181 in Kona.
