'Hawaiian House Now' book-signing tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

Barnes & Noble-Ala Moana will host author Malia Mattoch-McManus and photographer Linny Morris in the store to sign copies of their new book, "Hawaiian House Now" (Abrams Books; $40) at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 17.

Malia Mattoch-McManus is known for her on-screen talents as a news anchor and reporter. After working in journalism for 10 years, with stints at Pacific Business News and KHON as well as television stations in California, she left the newsroom in 2002 to pursue other passions. "To write books is my dream," she said and "The Hawaiian House Now " is the realization of that dream, created with local photographer and artist Linny Morris.

The new book celebrates the varied designs found in today's Hawaiian architecture and the dramatic landscape of the Hawaiian Islands. It takes readers on a tour of 20 specially photographed homes located throughout the islands of Oahu, the Big Island, Maui and Kauai.
