South swell passing through Hawaii

While North Shore surf is dropping today to 3 to 5 feet after being 10 feet or better the past few days, surfers and Tonggs, Queen's and other south-shore breaks can enjoy the south swell that's bringing surf 3 to 5 feet today.

Surf will subside over the weekend, the National Weather Service said, but a north northwest swell will arrive late Sunday and continue into Monday.

Elsewhere, surf willl be 1 to 2 feet along west shores and 1 to 3 feet aong east shores today.
