Starting pay for the EMT I trainee position is $2,917 per month. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a nationally recognized CPR certificate and a valid Class 3 driver's license at time of application. A copy of their nationally recognized CPR certificate and valid driver's license must be submitted within seven days of filing their application.

Qualified applicants will be scheduled to take a written test on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in Honolulu. They will be notified by mail approximately seven days before the test. Those who pass the written test will then be interviewed. Those who pass the oral interview process will then be scheduled for a physical examination and a suitability evaluation.
