'Iolani alumna Anderson helps Amherst win D-III title

The Amherst College women's cross country team won today's NCAA Division III Championship in Northfield, Minn., the first in school history.

'Iolani School graduate Nicole Anderson, a junior, finished 69th overall in the 6-kilometer race for Amherst. She was the team's sixth finisher and completed the race in a time of 22 minutes, 43 seconds.

Amherst finished with 120 points to Plattsburgh State's 159.

Anderson was the state cross country champion in 2002.
