Warriors among leaders in NCAA statistics

The University of Hawaii football team and its starting quarterback Colt Brennan remain among the leaders, according to NCAA statistics released today.

UH is No. 1 in total scoring (48.0 points averaged per game) followed by Kansas (45.8) and Boise (44.2), the Warriors opponent Friday at Aloha Stadium.

UH is No. 2 in passing offense (446.5) behind Texas Tech (475.6) and No. 3 in total offense. UH averages 523.9 yards per game. Tulsa is No. 1 at 544.6.

In defense, UH is No. 39 in scoring defense (23.5; Boise State is No. 17 at 18.3) and No. 33 in total defense (345.2 yards allowed; Boise State is No. 10 at 304).

Individually, Brennan is No. 2 in total offense and No. 4 in passing offense.

Brennan, who played two snaps against Nevada Friday, averages 365.9 yards per game, second to Texas Tech's Graham Harrell at 436.3.

In passing, Brennan is No. 4 with an NCAA statistical point-total of 161.3. Oklahoma's Corey Bradford is No. 1 at 179.4.

Three UH receivers are among the top 22 in yards per game.

Ryan Grice-Mullins is No. 5 (115.9 yards per game), Davone Bess No. 13 (98.3) and Jason Rivers No. 22 (87.67).
