Storm front moving in from Kauai may bring showers

A shear line will bring clouds, showers and gusty northeast winds to Kaua'i this morning and will dissipate near O'ahu during the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Elsewhere, an increasingly unstable northeast flow will focus showers across windward portions of the state, especially on the Big Island where a developing upper level trough will bring a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, forecasters said.

The upper level trough will settle just east of the state by tomorrow, likely producing bouts of unsettled weather throughout the week.

Today, partly sunny with scattered showers. Highs 77 to 83. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows around 66. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 75 to 82. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 71. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 77 to 82. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday night, mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 67 to 72. North winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
