Massive Beretania repaving project begins tonight

Advertiser Staff

Crews will start repaving Beretania Street tonight.

The work will run from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., shutting down several lanes of traffic from Lauhala, located near the Board of Water Supply, to Alakea streets. Crews will stop work Wednesday and Thursday, but be back on the job Friday. The work in the area will continue through Dec. 14.

During the repaving, at least two lanes will be open.

The work is part of a massive repaving project of Beretania Street, from North King to Alapa'i streets. The work also includes reconstructing sidewalks and installing curb ramps.

For more information, call the Beretania project hot line at 591-7666 or go to www.ssfm.com/beretania_street.
