Ohana Waikiki wrapping up $12M room renovations

Starting next month , guests who check in to Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber will discover newly renovated guest rooms as part of a $12 million makeover for the hotel..

"While our rooms renovation program is slated for completion by February 2008, come December we'll have progressed to the point where all guests checking into the hotel will find themselves in a newly renovated guest room," said Dean Nakasone, general manager of Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber.

Perhaps best known as the Waikiki landmark that hosted Don Ho's show in his final years, Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber's guest room make-over offers a fresh face on a centrally located hotel. The next renovations to will take place in the lobby and Hibiscus Café restaurant next year.

The 495 newly re-designed guest rooms feature décor inspired by the Waikiki Beach of the 1950s and 60s. And they include new flat-screen televisions, carpeting, wallpaper, lighting, artwork, bed frames, headboards, and enhanced custom-made bedding.
