Rainbow Wahine Smith named WAC player of the week

University of Hawai`i women's basketball player Tanya Smith was named the Western Athletic Conference player of the week today, the second honor of her career.Smith led Hawai`i to a 2-1 record and a second place finish in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Classic this past week. Smith was named to the all-tournament team after three straight double-double performances. She averaged 12.7 points and 13.7 rebounds in the three games.
