Baseball: Lowell agrees to $37.5 million Boston deal

The third baseman and the Red Sox agreed today to a $37.5 million, three-year contract, according to two people familiar with the negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not yet been finalized.
Lowell reached career highs this season with a .324 average and 120 RBIs
