UH football: 'Sign Of The Times' promotion for Boise

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawaii is inviting its fans to participate in its "Sign of The Times" promotion at both the Boise State and Washington football games.

Fans displaying signs that creatively use the ESPN acronym to promote UH or Colt Brennan for the Heisman Trophy will qualify for a prize packet from either The Honolulu Advertiser or Oceanic Time Warner Cable and the chance to win a Trip For Two to Las Vegas, courtesy of Hawaiian Airlines.

A panel of judges will select the "Top 10" signs at both games and the 20 qualifiers will compete at the UH men's basketball game against Long Beach State on Sunday, Dec. 9, for the Vegas trip.

To qualify to win, fans' signs must adhere to the regulations below:

--- Made of paper or soft fabric that can be rolled up.

--- No sticks or poles.

--- Must not obstruct the view of others during the game.

--- Can not be secured to stadium walls or railings.

--- No profanity or derogatory text
