More showers expected, but not as heavy as yesterday

A band of showers extends east to west across Oahu and Maui this morning, but shower coverage and intensity have decreased significantly since last night, the National Weather Service said.The band of showers is drifting to the south, but individual showers are moving southwest.
Maui county will remain wet and rainy this morning and begin drier this afternoon.
Trade winds will continue, the National Weather Service said, so windward areas will likely remain wet.The weather service said there is enough instability across the Big Island to keep the threat of heavy showers alive through the afternoon and evening hours through tomorrow.

Tonight: Scattered showers, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. North wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Wednesday: Scattered showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 81. Northeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
