Advertiser Staff

The circus is coming back to town — the Shanghai Circus, that is.

The Chinese acrobats, purveyors of a 2,500-year-old art form of juggling and gymnastics, will return to Hawai'i in January for a tri-Isle visit as follows:

  • Hilo — Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m., at the Hilo Civic Auditorium.

  • Kealakehe, Big Island — Jan. 16, at 7:30 p.m., at Kealakehe High School.

  • Lihu'e — Jan. 17, at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., at the Kaua'i War Memorial auditorium.

  • Honolulu — Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 19, at 2 and 7:30 p.m., at the Hawai'i Theatre.

Ticket details for Neighbor Island performances have not been announced.

Hawai'i Theatre tickets are $22.50, $27.50 and $37.50, going on sale this Saturday at the box office, 528-0506, or online at www.hawaiitheatre.com.
