Workshop helps prepare for GIs' return from war

Hearts on the Homefront, a free two-part workshop that will help to prepare the spouse and family for the return of a deployed service member, will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday at City of Refuge Christian Church, 94-897 Waipahu St.

The workshop, which is designed to assist in understanding the anatomy of trauma, stress and other challenges facing healthy reintegration, will be given by Sandy Crocker, mobilization and deployment program manager from Schofield Barracks, and Dr. Bridget Cantrell, president and CEO of Hearts Toward Home International from Bellingham, Wash.
