Rainbow Wahine rout Lipscomb in basketball, 85-51

Tanya Smith scored 16, Megan Tinnin 15 and Dita Liepkalne 14 to lead Hawai'i to a 85-51 victory over Lipscomb to open the Jack in the Box Rainbow Wahine Classic today at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine are 3-1. Lipscomb is 1-4.

It was the largest margin of victory for UH since a 31-point win at Boise State in 2003 and the largest margin of victory for UH under fourth-year head coach Jim Bolla.

Smith also grabbed a game high 11 rebounds.

The Rainbow Wahine will take on the Hartford Hawks of the America East Conference tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Rachel Davis was Lipscomb's leading scorer with 10 points.
