Fujikawa shoots 74, misses cut at Casio World Open

Moanalua High School junior Tadd Fujikawa shot a 2-over-par 74 today and missed the cut in the Casio World Open, a Japan Golf Tour Organization pro event in Japan.

The 16-year-old Fujikawa, who has yet to make his first professional cut after eight attempts, finished tied for 80th at 8-over-par 152. The top 60 golfers and ties (148) made the cut for the weekend.

Fujikawa today bogeyed the Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 6 holes to make the turn at 4 over. After a birdie at the No. 10, he bogeyed the No. 12. He finished with consecutive birides on Nos. 17 and 18.

I.J. Chang shot a 67 and had a one-stroke lead at 136 at the Kochi Kuroshio Country Club.

Hawai'i's Gregory Meyer, a regular on the Japan tour, shot a 74 and was tied for 33rd at 146.
