Delivery of today's Advertiser print edition delayed

Advertiser Staff

A problem with the print production of today's Honolulu Advertiser caused a delay in deliveries of the newspaper this morning.

Print editions were delivered in areas of town between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Deliveries in rural communities were not expected to arrive until about noon.

The delay was caused by the failure of an electrical module on the presses in Kapolei. It took press operators about 12 hours to determine which module failed and to replace it.

A test of the presses will be conducted this afternoon to ensure they are ready to run tomorrow's edition.

The Honolulu Advertiser apologizes for the inconvenience to customers.
