SUGARLAND IN MAY

Do you know what you're doing on May 1? If you're a country-music fan, you'll want to be at the concert by Sugarland, winner of the 2007 Country Music Award for top duo/vocal group.

The concert takes place at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Tickets — $35, $45, $60 and $75 — go on sale at 9 a.m. Dec. 15 at Ticketmaster outlets. 877-750-4400.

MXPX COMING IN JANUARY

Skate punk, Christian punk, pop punk — this is the domain of MxPx, the Bremerton, Wash., band whose latest disc, "Secret Weapon," was released this year.

The trio — Mike Herrera, Tom Wisniewski and Yuri Ruley — comes this way for an all-ages concert Jan. 25 (doors open at 6 p.m.; two opening acts to be announced) at Pipeline Cafe.

MORE PUNK: THE MISFITS

Another punk trio, The Misfits, is coming Jan. 5 to Pipeline. It's the band's final stop on its 30th anniversary tour.
