Pair charged with Hauula burglary

Advertiser Staff

Prosecutors yesterday charged a man and woman caught by police fleeing from a burglary scene early Friday morning in Hau'ula.

David Kinikini, 24, of Hau'ula and Vika F. Unga, 26, of La'ie are charged with first-degree burglary with bail at $15,000 apiece.

Kinikini has six prior convictions, according to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records while Unga has no convictions. Both suspects are also being held on two outstanding warrants totalling about $900.

Police investigating an activated silent alarm call at 2:25 a.m. arrested the pair fronting 53-707 Kamehameha Highway. The suspects allegedly were in possession of stolen property.
