Brennan, UH remain among NCAA statistics leaders

The University of Hawai'i football team and its starting quarterback Colt Brennan remain among the leaders, according to NCAA statistics released today.

The Warriors (11-0) defeated Boise State Friday, 39-27, to win the Western Athletic Conference championship.

UH is No. 1 in total scoring (47.18 points averaged per game) followed by Kansas (44.33) and Oklahoma (43.83).

UH is No. 2 in passing offense (450.91) behind Texas Tech (475.58) and No. 3 in total offense. UH averages 528.45 yards per game. Tulsa is No. 1 at 548.58.

In defense, UH is No. 42 in scoring defense (23.82) and No. 31 in total defense (344.00) yards allowed.

Brennan is No. 2 in total offense (380.60) after Texas Tech's Graham Harrell (436.25).

Brennan was 40 of 53 for 495 yards against Boise State.

Brennan averages 373.20 passing yards per game, second to Harrell at 441.50.

In passing, Brennan is No. 4 with an NCAA statistical point-total of 163.4. Oklahoma's Corey Bradford is No. 1 at 182.2.

Three UH receivers are among the top 20 in yards per game.

Ryan Grice-Mullins is No. 6 (110.36 yards per game), Davone Bess No. 8 (105.82) and Jason Rivers No. 19 (90.20).

UH's Solomon Elimimian is tied for No. 13 in total tackles (10.91). Scott McKillop of Pittsburgh is No. 1 (12.91), followed by Jordon Dizon of Colorado, a Waimea alum, at 12.42.
