Several road projects start tomorrow

The state Department of Transportation is alerting the public of several lane closures that will start tomorrow.

The traffic advisories include:

  • Right and shoulder lane closures at the intersection of Kaukonahua Road and Kamananui Road on Monday only, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail repairs.

  • Shoulder lane closures in both directions on Pu'uloa Road between Kamehameha Highway and Salt Lake Boulevard. The closures will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. There will also be lane closures on Kilihau Street.

    The closures are part of an ongoing project to improve Pu'uloa Road.

  • Closure of the right northbound lane on Kamehameha Highway between Waihau Street and Waikalani Drive. The work will run Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Also on Kamehameha Highway, crews will shut down a right, 'Aiea-bound lane from Radford Drive to Kalaloa Street for traffic signage installation. The lane closure runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sidewalk will also be closed.

  • Right-lane closures on Kalaniana'ole Highway in both directions near Keolu Drive from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, for drainage improvements and excavation.

  • Single Honolulu-bound lane closures on Likelike Highway, between Emmeline Place and Farrington High School. The work runs from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will be striping lanes and installing pavement markets.

    Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the road construction areas.
