By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

The Police reunion tour is heading to Honolulu for a lone concert Feb. 16 at Blaisdell Arena.

The Police — Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers — were the top-selling ticket and had the top-grossing tour of 2007, according to Billboard, which touted the group's success at its annual Billboard Awards show last week in New York.

The group — now touring global markets stretching from Mexico to Argentina and journeying to New Zealand, Australia and Japan early next year — will include Honolulu as the final stop before a three- or four-month break in its world tour.

Fiction Plane will be the opening act.

Admission prices have not been announced and specifics on sales are not yet posted at Ticketmaster.com. The current tour dates are posted at www.thepolice.com.

Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Blaisdell box office, at www.livenation.com and at Ticketmaster locations.
