Oceanic to launch new gay/lesbian digital channel

Oceanic Time Warner Cable will launch a new gay and lesbian channel from MTV, called Logo, on digital channel 542 on Dec. 1.Logo will provide news, documentaries, specials and other programming. It will initially launch on O'ahu and Kaua'i and will be available at no extra charge to Oceanic digital cable subscribers.
"Oceanic continues to offer programming that will appeal to all different types of audiences in Hawai'i," said Alan Pollock, vice president-marketing at Oceanic, in a press release. "The addition of Logo will provide programming and topics that are specifically designed to entertain and inform Hawai'i's gay and lesbian community."
