Learn about astronomy at Scoping Out the Stars

Residents can discover astronomy basics and more at Scoping Out the Stars from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Waimea Valley Audubon Center.

Space explorers will spend the evening searching the night sky with telescopes provided by Stargazers of Hawai'i.

Early registration is advised because the popular program fills quickly.

Wear sturdy shoes to walk the unpaved path to the program site. Bring a flashlight, a blanket or mat, and a picnic dinner. All ages are welcomed.

The fee is $8 for adults; children 4-12 are $6;Annual Pass Holder and volunteers with 20 or more hours, $3. Cash only.
