High school recycling event set for Saturday

Kapolei High School will hold an Aloha 'Aina Earth Day Recycling Community Cleanup Project on Saturday. Hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Area residents may drop off anything from scrap metal to auto parts, bicycles, metal appliances, lawn mowers, pipes, beams, newspaper, cardboard, HI-5¢ beverage containers, car tires, lumber, telephone books and more.

The school will receive cash for your scrap metal, HI-5¢ containers, newspaper, cardboard, cellular phones, printer cartridges and cooking oil.

Volunteers and a hazardous materials recycler are needed for the event. If you want to participate, call Aloha 'Aina Earth Day coordinator Rene Mansho at 306-1876.
